This hillside home in the Pacific Palisades is designed as a retreat and gathering space. On the tiered site, residents live day-to-day on the main level and a discreet stair to the lower-level leads to five guest suites for extended family and friends. Three main volumes connected by glazed voids allow for intentional connection to the exterior while maintaining privacy. These strategically framed openings provide views ranging from the coast to Malibu to the hills of Temescal Canyon. Layered roof lines create a dynamic flow and rooms unfold organically as the user moves through the residence. Walnut casework and feature ceilings complement white oak and travertine floors, creating a warm and serene hillside escape.
